Hi there! Regarding upgrades, here's the scoop. If you are over 18, you can buy an adult upgrade for $12 (for one month of upgraded status). If you are under 18, you can buy a kid upgrade for $5 (for one month of upgraded status). I know it might seem mean to charge for some of our content, but this is actually my job while I'm going to graduate school....unfortunately I became disabled and had to give up my full time teaching job. So it's not just us being greedy. The upgrade cost goes to all kinds of things like webhosting, web design, illustrations, Spanish translation, plus frequent content updates. In order to keep things running in a healthy way, we do have to charge for some parts of the site.

If you'd like to try upgraded status for free before you buy, here is how you do that: Refer friends to the site. For each five friends who register and who list you as the person who referred them, you get two weeks of free upgraded status.
